Fireworks Displays Scheduled Across Chicago Area for Fourth of July

As the Fourth of July holiday nears, residents of the Chicago area can look forward to a spectacular array of fireworks shows planned throughout the region.

While some communities will conduct their festivities on July 3, others are scheduling their displays for July 4, with a few opting to celebrate during the weekend.

Here’s a rundown of fireworks displays organized by day, along with accompanying events, providing a checklist for holiday fun:

**Thursday, July 3 Events**

Aurora will kick off its celebrations with fireworks scheduled for 9 p.m. at the Aurora Transportation Center and McCullough Park. For parade lovers, there’s a parade on July 4 at 10 a.m. starting from Benton Street and Broadway Street in Downtown Aurora.

Berwyn will host fireworks at Morton West High School beginning at 9:15 p.m., with event doors opening at 8 p.m. The school is located at 2400 Home Ave.

In Bridgeview, the annual fireworks display will light up the sky at Commissioners Park at 9:15 p.m. This event is hosted by the Bridgeview Park District and takes place at 8100 S. Beloit Ave.

Burr Ridge’s annual fireworks show at Walker Park will commence at dusk. The Family Fun Area opens at 5:30 p.m. and includes face painting, balloon artists, and food trucks.

Deerfield plans its fireworks at 9:15 p.m., best viewed from Shepard Park. This is immediately followed by a parade on July 4 at noon, starting from Deerspring Pool, along with various family activities.

Glencoe’s fireworks show starts at 9 p.m., with a party in the park kicking off at 5 p.m. A Fun Run will take place at 8 a.m. the next day, followed by a parade at 1 p.m. in Downtown Glencoe.

In Lemont, fireworks can be viewed at Centennial Park at 9:30 p.m. Celebrations will begin at 4 p.m., featuring music, food vendors, and a kid zone.

Lisle’s fireworks display is set for 9:30 p.m. at Community Park, alongside food, drinks, and music starting from 5:30 p.m. A parade will follow on July 4 at 10 a.m. from Lisle Junior High School.

Lockport invites everyone to Dellwood Park at dusk to catch their fireworks.

Mokena will feature fireworks at 9:30 in Main Park after an afternoon filled with games and food. Their parade is set for the following day at 10 a.m. on Wolf Road.

Oak Brook’s fireworks will be part of the Taste of Oakbrook event, which starts at 4 p.m., featuring food, music, and a drone show, culminating in fireworks at 9:30 p.m. at Village Sports Core Fields.

Palos Heights will set off its fireworks at Memorial Park at 9:15 p.m., with a full day of community fun and entertainment beginning at 10 a.m. The following day, a parade will occur at noon along Harlem Avenue.

Palatine is part of the Palatine Jaycees Hometown Fest, scheduled from July 2 to 6, with fireworks on July 3 at dusk at Community Park. Their celebration includes games, food, drinks, and a carnival starting on July 4 at 1 p.m.

In Park Ridge, fireworks are slated for dusk at Maine East High School. The event will feature live entertainment beginning at 6 p.m. with free admission.

Romeoville is taking the lead with three simultaneous fireworks displays scheduled for 9:30 p.m. on July 3, launching from Volunteer Park, Lukancic Middle School, and Discovery Park. Coordinated music will be broadcast on Star 96.7 FM Radio.

Wheaton’s fireworks will illuminate Graf Park at 9 p.m., accompanied by a day of activities starting at 5:30 p.m., emphasizing local food and games. A parade in Downtown Wheaton will take place on July 4.

Wilmette will celebrate with fireworks starting at dusk in Gillson Park at 9 p.m. There’s a ‘Fun and Fireworks’ event beginning at 5 p.m., featuring music and vendors. The day starts with a 5K dash at 8 a.m. in the park, followed by the Star Spangled Splash at Centennial Park at 1 p.m.

**Friday, July 4 Fireworks Displays**

Antioch has planned its fireworks for dusk on July 4 at Sequoit Creek Park, following a 10:30 a.m. parade in Downtown Antioch and festivities that begin at 4 p.m.

Bartlett is hosting a four-day event located at the southwest corner of Sterns Road and Bartlett Road, featuring carnivals, food, music, and drinks, with fireworks taking center stage at 9:15 p.m. on July 4, followed by a parade on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Beecher’s 4th of July Festival from July 2 to 5 at Firemen’s Park features various attractions, including a parade at 4 p.m. and fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Bensenville will include fireworks during Libertyfest, which will feature a parade at 10 a.m. on July 4 from 12 S. Center St., with food and music starting at 6 p.m. before a 9:30 fireworks show.

Blue Island’s fireworks will commence at dusk on July 4 at Waterfall Park. Vendors will be available, in addition to a noon parade traveling east from Prairie Street to Grove Street.

Bolingbrook is hosting its fireworks at dusk on July 4 at Bolingbrook Golf Club, with VIP viewing “pods” available as well as remote viewing options at nearby schools. The grounds will open at 3 p.m. for food, entertainment, and activities.

In Buffalo Grove, fireworks will light up Willow Stream Park at 9 p.m. after a free admission concert by the Symphonic Band at 7 p.m.

Carol Stream will also hold fireworks at Town Center at 9:15 p.m. on July 4, accompanied by food offerings and activities before the show.

Chicago’s celebrations include a July 4 parade in Hyde Park, featuring marching bands and community floats. After the parade, there will be a free festival from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., offering music, games, and face painting.

DeKalb’s fireworks will launch 30 minutes after sunset at Hopkins Park, following a full day’s planned activities, which commence with an Independence Day Run at 8:30 a.m.

For Downers Grove and Woodridge, a fireworks display is planned for 9:30 p.m., near 75th Street and Lemont Road on July 4, with a picnic held beforehand at 11 a.m. at Castaldo Park.

Elgin will start its fireworks at dusk in Festival Park, preceded by a parade and a pet parade at 9 a.m., along with concerts and food trucks throughout the day.

Elk Grove Village will host its fireworks at dusk on July 4 at Rotary Green, where music and food will be available starting at 8 p.m.

Evanston invites attendees to watch fireworks being set off over the lakefront at 9:30 p.m. on July 4, after morning games and activities spread across six locations and a fun run followed by a parade at 2 p.m.

Frankfort plans to set off fireworks at 9:15 p.m. in Main Park on July 4, with the park opening at 7 p.m. for DJ entertainment starting at 7:30.

In Glenview, fireworks will light up the sky at Gallery Park at 9:20 p.m., following music and food from 6 p.m. onward, and a parade at 11:20 a.m. at Harlem Road and Glenview Road.

Glen Ellyn will showcase its fireworks at dusk in Lake Ellyn Park on July 4, with the Downtown parade kicking off at noon.

Itasca’s fireworks for 2025 have been canceled, as per the announcement made on March 6, 2025.

Lake Forest is hosting its 18th annual Festival and Fireworks at Deerpath Community Park on July 4, featuring a Taylor Swift tribute band followed by a fireworks display.

Lake Zurich will celebrate with fireworks at Paulus Park at 9:15 p.m. on July 4, after Family Day festivities unfolding at 10 a.m. filled with music and food.

Libertyville residents will gather for fireworks at Butler Lake at 9:30 p.m., preceded by a performance by the Village Band at 7:30 p.m. at the Band Shell.

In Lincolnshire, fireworks are scheduled for 9:30 p.m. at Spring Lake Park, along with a parade at 10 a.m. and full day of activities set for July 4. Celebrations on July 3 will also welcome guests from 4 p.m. at North Park.

Lombard plans to initiate fireworks around 9:30 p.m. in Madison Meadow Park on July 4.

Morton Grove will feature fireworks at dusk on July 4 at Harrer Park/Civic Center as part of Morton Grove Days, which runs from July 3 to 6, complemented by a parade at 2:30 p.m. on July 4.

Mount Prospect will host fireworks at Melas Park at 9:30 p.m. on July 4, along with multiple activities from July 2 to 6, including food, music, and carnival rides. A short fireworks display is also planned for July 2 at 9:30 p.m.

Mundelein invites everyone to the Village Center on July 4 for fireworks at 9:30 p.m., alongside several days of festivities from July 3 to 6.

Naperville’s fireworks show will commence at the Frontier Sports Complex at 9:30 p.m. on July 4, following a performance by the Naperville Municipal Band at 7:30 p.m. under the Wagner Pavilion.

New Lenox plans its fireworks for 9:15 p.m. on July 4 in the Village Commons, with live music earlier in the day from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Northbrook will provide fireworks viewable from Meadow Hill Park and Techny Prairie Park and Fields. Activities will begin early morning with a Liberty Loop at 7:30 a.m., followed by a parade at 4 p.m. near Westmoor School.

North Riverside is hosting its fireworks at dusk in the Village Commons on July 4, with a parade taking place beforehand at 10 a.m., moving west along 26th Street from 9th Avenue.

Oak Lawn will present its fireworks show at dusk on July 4 at Richards High School, with a parade beginning at 4 p.m. on June 28.

In Orland Park, fireworks will be visible at 9:30 p.m. on July 4 at Centennial Park West, preceded by a parade at 5 p.m. and a concert at 5:30 p.m.

Oswego will offer fireworks from Prairie Point Park at 9:30 p.m. on July 4.

Rockford’s festivities include an All-Day Party at Prairie Street Brewing Co., featuring live music, food, drinks, and yard games before the fireworks launch at 9:30 p.m.

Rosemont will include its fireworks in the Rockin’ in the Park series, with a free concert preceding the display on July 4.

Schaumburg will conclude the day with fireworks after the Schaumburg Boomers baseball game at Wintrust Field on July 4.

Skokie invites locals to experience fireworks at Niles West High School at dusk on July 4, following a noon parade and a festival with live music and family activities starting at 6:30 p.m.

St. Charles will celebrate with fireworks visible at dark from Langum Park and Mt. St. Mary Park on July 4, accompanied by music and food all day long.

In Tinley Park, fireworks will light up the sky with music accompanying the display at McCarthy Park at 9:30 p.m. on July 4, with earlier festive activities starting as early as 4 p.m.

Vernon Hills will host its fireworks at Century Park at 9:15 p.m. on July 4, featuring a parade at 9 a.m. and music starting at 7 p.m.

Warrenville is planning activities at Cerny Park over July 3 and 4, with a parade, live music, and concessions on both days. Fireworks are scheduled for 9:30 p.m. on July 4.

Westmont will conclude its Fourth of July festivities with fireworks at 9:30 p.m. at Ty Warner Park, following a day filled with activities, including performances by the Westview Hills Band, a petting zoo, and more.

Winnetka will feature fireworks visible at Duke Child’s Field at 9:20 p.m. on July 4, alongside a parade at 10 a.m. starting at Elm Street and Glendale Avenue. Morning activities will include a music and a 5K run.

Lastly, Yorkville will see its fireworks launched from the corner of Route 47 and Countryside Parkway at dusk on July 4, with a 9 a.m. parade beginning from Yorkville High School.

**Saturday, July 5 Fireworks**

For those who miss the shows on July 4, the City of Chicago will hold a fireworks display at Navy Pier, known for its summer celebrations. Fireworks are scheduled to begin at 10 p.m., according to their summer schedule.

As communities across the Chicago area prepare for Independence Day, there is no shortage of fireworks and festivities for families and friends to enjoy.
