HBO Max’s ‘And Just Like That…’ Returns for a Third Season with Culinary Adventures in NYC

The beloved HBO Max sequel series ‘And Just Like That…’ is back for its third season, delighting fans with the return of iconic characters Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte (Kristin Davis).

Alongside them are relative newcomers Seema (Sarita Choudhury) and Lisa (Nicole Ari Parker), as they navigate life in New York City with its familiar blend of humor, romance, and, of course, food.

As the season unfolds, Eater will keep track of the restaurants and bars featured in each episode, from lively brunch spots to intimate dinner venues and trendy cocktail bars.

The series airs new episodes every Thursday at 9 p.m., and viewers are reminded that spoilers will follow.

In the first episode titled ‘Outlook Good,’ audiences see a fresh setting as Carrie transitions from her iconic West Village brownstone to a spacious townhouse in Gramercy Park.

While the romance with Aidan remains ambiguous due to his residency in Virginia, Miranda returns to New York single and ready to mingle.

One notable location featured in the episode is Motel No Tell, located at 210 Avenue A in the East Village.

This vibrant queer bar, adorned with neon lights and a disco ball, serves as the backdrop for Miranda’s adventurous night out as she attempts to score a date.

Navigating her new lifestyle as a non-alcoholic drinker, she expresses her frustration with high mocktail prices, opting for a Phony Negroni instead.

Later in the evening, a chance encounter with Mary (played by Rosie O’Donnell), a visiting Canadian, leads to an unexpected ending when they head back to Mary’s hotel room.

Motel No Tell is taking advantage of its TV moment by offering a summer cocktail special called the Lady Pond, featuring a mix of vodka, orange, vermouth, cranberry, lime, and apple shrub, for just $12.

Another location mentioned in this episode is the iconic Tavern on the Green.

Although it is not visually depicted, the restaurant becomes the punchline of a humorous exchange.

Miranda recounts her night with Mary to Carrie, humorously noting that Mary, who turned out to be a nun, was eager to visit Tavern on the Green, prompting Carrie to quip about the absurdity of the situation.

Jean-Georges, a renowned French tasting menu restaurant located at 1 Central Park West, also makes an appearance in name only.

Seema’s boyfriend, Ravis, has lunch booked there upon his return from filming in Egypt.

However, a scheduling mix-up leads him to miss their dinner reservation, leaving Seema disgruntled as she ultimately decides to end things, stating, “I don’t do vans or Cool Ranch potato chips, but I did try.”

As the episode progresses, the gang visits Red Rooster, the flagship restaurant of celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson located at 310 Lenox Avenue in Harlem.

Tasked with organizing an impromptu cocktail reception for her husband Herbert’s political campaign, Lisa chooses the dynamic atmosphere of Red Rooster to impress.

As the group indulges in a feast of fried chicken, sandwiches, and flavorful fritters, they engage in lively conversations, spending time together in the warm setting of comfort food.

The gathering culminates sweetly with Carrie and Miranda sharing dessert, enjoying a pudding-like treat served in small mugs.

Stay tuned for next week’s episode as the culinary journey of ‘And Just Like That…’ continues to explore the vibrant dining landscape of New York City.
