The Demise of USAID: A Turning Point in American Foreign Policy

In a startling shift in U.S. foreign policy, USAID, the United States Agency for International Development, has been effectively dismantled under the leadership of Elon Musk and associates.

This shift has significant implications for global economic development and humanitarian aid, areas where USAID had historically played a crucial role.

Between 1950 and 2018, the global poverty rate saw a dramatic decline, with the percentage of people living in extreme poverty—defined as living on $1.90 a day—dropping from 53% to just 9%.
