The Chippendales are set to relaunch their iconic male revue at Planet Hollywood on Thursday night, leaving behind a brief stint at The Linq Hotel.
Known as the ‘Yankees of male revues’ for their standout brand recognition, the show has transitioned to the hotel’s second level, directly across from the Criss Angel Theater.
Having spent a successful 23 years at their theater in the Rio, the Chippendales closed on New Year’s Eve.
This move marks their third venue change within a single year, with a previous opening at the Mat Franco Theater on January 17.
Dressed in their signature bow ties and cuff links, the Chippendales enjoyed a prosperous run away from the Strip.
However, they faced challenges under new management from the Rio ownership group, Dreamscape, which had different plans for theater operations and marketing budgets.
The Rio opted to showcase ‘Empire Strips Back,’ which debuted on May 4 and has since become a box-office success thanks to its unique blend of humor and sci-fi parody.
With their new home at the Franco Theater, the Chippendales aimed to firmly establish their presence on the Strip, though they were not the primary show at that venue.
As operational challenges arose and ticket demand increased, they shifted to the smaller Planet Hollywood venue.
Now, the Chippendales have exclusive control over the space as the sole show, much to the relief of the production team.
Katerina Tabakhov, Chippendales’ director of operations, expressed excitement over having a space dedicated entirely to their show.
This move affords them complete autonomy over scheduling and the overall ambiance of their performances.
The Chippendales are also expanding their reach beyond Las Vegas, recently opening at the Hard Rock Cafe in Nashville on June 25.
To mark the occasion, they made a grand entrance on horseback, fully adorned in their characteristic attire.
They are optimistic about thriving in Nashville, following the closure of their competitor ‘Thunder From Down Under,’ which had a brief tenure at the Woolworth Theater.
In other entertainment news, Shania Twain was spotted enjoying a standout performance by Shakira at a recent concert.

Twain has her own history of successful residency productions in Las Vegas, having performed at the Colosseum and Zappos Theater over the years.
Although Shakira has yet to secure a Las Vegas residency, industry insiders are closely watching her current tour, as ticket sales consistently draw attention.
In magical performances, Shin Lim continues to take the Strip by storm as the only two-time winner of ‘America’s Got Talent.’
Now headlining his second residency at the Palazzo Theater, he has been featuring guest spots for other mentalists throughout the summer.
This month, he is joined by Stuart MacLeod, a Scottish magician known for his work in ‘The Illusionists Live From Broadway.’
Lim’s wife, Casey Thomas, adds her unique talents to the stage with an aerial hoop act, captivating audiences with her impressive card manipulation.

The favored FaceOff tournament is returning from July 25-27, with Bill Dwyer, a familiar face from the original show on Discovery Channel, serving as the emcee.
