Pool Season Heats Up in Southern Nevada: A Guide to Local Resorts

As temperatures soar in Southern Nevada, Las Vegans are eagerly diving into pool season, looking for the perfect spots to cool off.

While many resorts in Las Vegas open their pools exclusively to hotel guests, there are also facilities that welcome Southern Nevadans, sometimes charging a fee for admission.

Patrons can enjoy various rental options, including chairs, daybeds, and cabanas at most pools, making for an enjoyable day in the sun.

Here’s a comprehensive look at the local pools available this season.

**Station Casinos Properties**
Bel-Aire Back Yard at Durango operates daily from 10 a.m. to sunset, providing a relaxing environment for guests.

Green Valley Ranch opens earlier at 9 a.m., welcoming visitors until 7 p.m. Additionally, The Pond, an adults-only area, operates on weekends from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Red Rock Resort, also available from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., offers Rouge Room cabanas for those over 21 from Friday to Sunday, until sunset.

Palace Station and Sunset Station share the same operational hours, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., through September 29.

Please note that reservations are required for all Station Casinos pools to ensure a smooth experience.

**Boyd Gaming Properties**
The Orleans features The Splash Pool, which is open to the public for a $50 admission fee, perfect for those looking for a lively atmosphere.

Currently, locals can enjoy free daybeds or cabanas, making it a great time to visit. The Orleans’ hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. through August 31, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. starting September 1 through the end of the season.

Aliante Pool opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 7 p.m., staying accessible to local guests with day passes on weekdays for $20 for adults and $10 for children aged 4-15, with children under 4 admitted for free.

On weekends and holidays, admission is $30 for adults and $12 for children 4-15. A summer special offers half-price admission after 4 p.m., subject to availability.

However, please be aware that the pools at Suncoast, Cannery, and Sam’s Town are exclusively for hotel guests.

**MGM Resorts International Properties**
For those visiting the iconic Bellagio, guests can enjoy five pools, four whirlpools, and the Cypress Pool, restricted to ages 18 and older, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Aria boasts three unique pool experiences: Yucca Pool, Palm Pool, and Sky Pool. The latter is open only to Sky Suites guests. All pools at Aria open at 9 a.m. and operate until 7 p.m. (hours may vary).

The Vdara offers its services from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., providing a main pool, a whirlpool, and a selection of semi-private plunge pools for cabana guests.

At The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, the Boulevard Pool operates from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., while the Marquee Dayclub is open from Thursday to Sunday for guests 21 and older from 11 a.m. until close. The Chelsea Pool shares similar hours as the Boulevard Pool.

MGM Grand is open for swimmers from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., with the Palm Tree Beach Club reserved for adults Thursday through Monday from 11 a.m. to close, while The Signature at MGM Grand Pool operates from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Mandalay Bay offers an exciting range of five pools, including a lazy river and a massive wave pool, with operating hours from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Moorea Beach Club is an adults-only option from Thursday to Monday, while WET Deck at W Las Vegas is also open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Park MGM serves guests from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., with the NoMad Pool operating from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday through Monday.

New York-New York Pool is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Luxor’s Oasis Pool operates with the same hours. The Luxor also host Temptation Sundays every Sunday through August 31, from noon to 6 p.m.

Excalibur’s pool is available from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (hours are subject to change).

**Caesars Entertainment Properties**
Most pools operated under Caesars are open to both hotel and non-hotel guests of all ages unless stated otherwise.

The Garden of the Gods at Caesars Palace welcomes visitors from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Influence Pool at The Linq, open to ages 21 and older, offers a young adult atmosphere from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Flamingo provides options for adults at the Flamingo Go Pool on weekdays and for families at the Family Pool, both open until 6 p.m. or 7 p.m., depending on the day.

Paris Las Vegas’s Pool A Paris and the Pool at Harrah’s Las Vegas are also open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Planet Hollywood features both the North and South Pools, operating under the same hours. Locals can access the FlowRider for $24.99, with all-day passes available.

Horseshoe Las Vegas completes the Caesars offering with Blu Pool, also open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

**Wynn Las Vegas Properties**
Most pools at Wynn are limited to hotel guests, with the exception of the Encore Beach Club, which caters to guests aged 21 and older. The club opens at noon on Fridays, 11 a.m. on Saturdays, and 1 p.m. on Sundays before closing at 7 p.m. Admission prices fluctuate between $30 and $100 depending on events.

At Fontainbleau, the Oasis Pool Deck, Grand Pool Deck, Legacy Pool, and LIV Beach are reserved for hotel guests, though cabanas and daybeds can be purchased online.

**Palms Pool**
Free admission is extended to the public and local patrons over 21, seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Cabanas are free to Nevada locals on weekdays, bookable based on availability with valid ID.

Patrons can also snag free floats at the Palms, making it a hotspot this pool season.

**JW Marriott Las Vegas Pool**
Open to local guests from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the pool charges a daily admission fee of $25 for adults ages 10 and older, with children aged 6-9 paying $15, and under-5s entering for free until September 7.

Post-September 8, these rates adjust to $20 for adults and $10 for children. Cabana rates range from $250 on weekdays to $350 during weekends and holidays, with slightly lower prices starting in September.

As summer continues, pool season in Southern Nevada remains a vibrant experience for both locals and visitors seeking relaxation under the sun.
