EVA Air, known for being the pioneer in Premium Economy Class, is set to launch its fourth-generation Premium Economy in the United States on October 3rd. This much-anticipated cabin upgrade will make its debut on EVA Air’s new Taipei-Dallas Fort Worth route, providing American travelers with their first glimpse of this advanced travel class.
The Dallas-Fort Worth route, announced earlier this year, marks a significant expansion of EVA Air’s U.S. network. With this development, EVA Air becomes the first Asian airline to serve two cities in Texas.
EVA Air plans to commence operations with three weekly flights using the fuel-efficient Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, available in a three-class configuration. Starting November 18, flight frequency will increase to five times a week, with daily service expected to launch on December 15.
Andrew Su, Executive Vice President of EVA Air North America, expressed enthusiasm about the introduction of the fourth-generation Premium Economy to the U.S. market. He stated, “This product evolution reflects our commitment to providing passengers with greater comfort and convenience, while addressing the growing demand for a more spacious and refined long-haul travel experience.”
Dallas-Fort Worth, according to Su, is an ideal hub for this launch due to its strong business and cultural links with Asia. The upgraded Premium Economy cabin features 28 seats arranged in a 2-3-2 layout, boasting an industry-leading seat pitch of 42 inches, a cradle-style recline, and premium leather accents for an elevated travel experience.
In addition to the enhanced seating, EVA Air is augmenting the Premium Economy experience through cutting-edge technology and thoughtful amenities. Passengers will have access to a 15.6-inch HD touchscreen, adjustable tray tables designed specifically for digital devices, individual power outlets, and ample storage space for personal belongings.
Enhanced privacy panels are included to provide additional comfort and functionality during long-haul flights. The airline has made strong efforts to integrate improved accessibility features, catering to a wider range of passenger needs.
EVA Air emphasizes sustainable practices in its new Premium Economy offering as well. Passengers can expect plush pillows, eco-friendly double-sided blankets, and premium quality headphones.
The in-flight service will also include stylish tableware produced in collaboration with renowned Italian brand Guzzini. Environmentally conscious items, such as bamboo fiber napkins and other sustainable service products, underscore EVA Air’s commitment to responsible travel.
Passengers can also indulge in Royal Laurel Class toiletries, deep gray velvet slippers, and gourmet snacks featuring mixed nuts and dried fruits. EVA Air’s dedication to providing a quality travel experience continues to earn accolades, having achieved SKYTRAX’s prestigious Five-Star Airline certification for ten consecutive years, along with multiple awards for its service excellence.
This U.S. introduction of the fourth-generation Premium Economy class further reaffirms EVA Air’s leadership in the Premium Economy sector. The airline first introduced this travel class to the industry over 30 years ago, and its latest cabin design signifies a strategic initiative to refresh long-haul offerings while adapting to the evolving needs of modern travelers.
By harmonizing innovation, sustainability, and a commitment to award-winning service, EVA Air aims to redefine the trans-Pacific travel experience. This evolution showcases the airline’s focus on delivering a product that balances comfort, practicality, and environmental responsibility, ensuring passengers enjoy their time at 30,000 feet.
EVA Air, a member of the Star Alliance, has been Taiwan’s first privately owned international airline since its foundation in 1989. Operating a fleet of over 80 Boeing and Airbus aircraft, the airline serves approximately 60 international destinations across Asia, Oceania, Europe, and North America, including major gateways such as Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, and Vancouver.
