Houstonians Gear Up for 713 Day: A Celebration and Fundraising Effort

713 Day, celebrated on July 13, is an unofficial holiday in Houston that showcases the city’s vibrant food, drink, and entertainment culture. Each year, Houstonians come together for a day filled with special deals, discounts, and events that celebrate the spirit of H-Town pride and community.

This year’s celebration falls on a Sunday, making it a special occasion. Notably, it also serves as a reminder of the neighboring Kerr County, where recent floods have impacted the community. Many businesses have decided to use this day not only for celebrations but also for fundraising efforts for flood relief.

From historic eateries to trendy spots, several locations across the city are participating in 713 Day festivities, offering delicious food and refreshing drinks.

**Multiple Locations**

**Duck N Bao:** With locations in Memorial and Rice Village, Duck N Bao will offer 14 different cocktails for just $7.13 from the Fun & Relaxed section of its menu. Cocktails include the Azalea Margarita and the Singapore Sling. Additionally, throughout the month of July, all Duck N Bao locations will donate $1 from every order of pork soup dumplings to Mercy Chefs to support Texas flood victims.

**Hungry’s:** This long-standing Houston restaurant, in business for over 50 years, will provide guests with a complimentary order of hummus with any entrée ordered at any location on 713 Day.

**Pizaro’s Pizza:** Both the Montrose and Memorial locations are offering a Margherita pizza for just $7.13, with the regular price at $17.50. This deal applies to in-person and phone orders when mentioning “713 Day.” Pizaro’s will be open Sunday from noon to 8 p.m.

**WILD:** Both locations in the Heights and Montrose will feature two specialty cocktails for $7.13 each. Guests can enjoy the Still Sippin’ cocktail or the Purple Rain offering. WILD opens at 8 a.m. and closes at midnight, allowing patrons to celebrate throughout the day.

**Downtown/Midtown**

**Axelrad:** This popular beer garden will hold a 713 Day celebration from 5 to 10 p.m. in partnership with Chicano Boulevard. The event will feature various food vendors, a photo pop-up by Old Man Mikey, and live music and art performances, all celebrating Houston culture.

**Doves Restaurant:** Located in Midtown, Doves is offering an all-day happy hour starting at 11 a.m. on 713 Day, encouraging guests to wear their favorite sports team gear with dishes like crab cake and salmon Benedict available.

**Meow Wolf Houston & Saint Arnold Brewing Company:** These two venues will come together from noon to 4 p.m. for a 713 Day Block Party featuring complimentary Popston pops, giveaways, and live performances, creating a festive atmosphere for the celebrations.

**The Savoy:** Celebrating 713 Day with $7 specialty cocktails and $13 food specials, The Savoy will also host mechanical bull riding contests leading up to the main event, with a cash prize awarded on 713 Day.

**Solarium:** This facility will donate $1 from every Purple Drank cocktail sold to Mercy Chefs, contributing to flood relief efforts. Attendees can also purchase T-shirts with profits going toward fundraising.

**Taste Kitchen + Bar:** Known for its celebrity visitors, Taste Kitchen + Bar is hosting an all-day celebration on 713 Day with its full menu available, special $7.13 frozen drinks, and signature cocktails crafted specifically for the occasion.

**East Houston**

**Houston Food Bank:** The Houston Food Bank is hosting a 713 Day Volunteer Shift from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 13, featuring complimentary doughnuts and a celebration with food and music once volunteering is complete. Limited edition shirts will be available for purchase, with proceeds supporting the Food Bank.

**Heights**

**Heights Bier Garten:** For 713 Day, this local favorite will donate all proceeds from Eureka Heights Buckle Bunny beer sales to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund, making each purchase a chance to contribute to the cause.

**Kazzan Ramen & Bar:** The restaurant is offering a special cocktail priced at $7.13 for 713 Day, called the Ube Bae, crafted from a unique blend of ingredients, showcasing their culinary creativity.

**River Oaks**

**Fielding’s River Oaks:** This stylish eatery is celebrating 713 Day with happy hour prices on cocktails during brunch, encouraging guests to enjoy delicious brunch entrees at a discounted rate. Reservations are encouraged for this popular spot.

**Ouisie’s Table:** A River Oaks institution, Ouisie’s Table will make its entire Sunday brunch cocktail menu available for the special price of $7.13 each, offering a selection of cocktails and appetizers for guests to enjoy in celebration of Houston.

**EaDo/East Side**

**Giant Texas Distillers:** Hosting the 713 Day Fest from 1 to 8 p.m., the distillery will feature Houston-inspired cocktails, live music, and local vendors, making it an entertaining destination for the all-day celebration.

**Uptown/Galleria Area**

**The Original Ninfa’s Uptown:** Celebrating the day with discounted customer favorites, guests can enjoy an order of chile con queso with totopos or a Ninfarita at the special price of $7.13 during brunch hours on Sundays.

**Rice Village/West University**

**Norigami’s Hidden Bar:** This speakeasy will serve a unique cocktail for 713 Day called Side the Sunrises, priced at $7.13, allowing guests to enjoy a special drink in a one-of-a-kind atmosphere.
