Early Voting for Local Elections in Texas Begins April 22

Early voting for the May Joint and Special Election in Texas, which allows residents to participate in selecting local officials, is set to begin on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. Tarrant County has a similar early voting schedule, allowing voting from April 22 to April 25, also from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday voting in Tarrant will follow the same extended hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with Sunday, April 27, running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Voters will once again have access from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the last two days.

In Collin County, the early voting hours from April 22 to April 26 will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. However, voting will not be available on Sunday, April 27. Afterward, voters can cast their ballots from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on April 28 and 29.

Denton County will maintain the same schedule from April 22 to April 26, again voting from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Sunday, April 27, polls will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., concluding the early voting period on April 28 and 29 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Rockwall County follows a slightly different schedule, with early voting from April 22 to April 25 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Saturday, April 26, polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., while there will be no voting on April 27. The last two days of early voting will mimic the other counties, operating from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
