Clark County’s Summer Showcase for Car Enthusiasts

As summer unfolds in Clark County, residents are embracing their love for automobiles with various car shows and cruise events throughout the region.

From sleek classics to stunning customs, the events offer myriad opportunities for both car owners and enthusiasts to revel in the automotive scene.

This season brings back popular favorites, including the much-anticipated Cruise the Couve on July 19, where automotive enthusiasts will parade down Vancouver’s Main Street.

Beginning today and running through September 12, Alderbrook Park in Brush Prairie hosts a Friday Night Cruise-in from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. each Friday.

Admission for spectators is reasonable, with a $5 fee for kids ages 4-13, veterans, and seniors, while adults pay $10 and tots ages 3 and under can enter for free.

Car owners wishing to participate can register their vehicles for $10 for cars and trucks, or $8 for motorcycles, but it’s cash only.

This Saturday, Kings Cross Automotive in Vancouver will host the British Block Party from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine.

Car enthusiasts are welcome to showcase their British rides without any need for prior registration or entry fees.

Every Sunday until September 28, classic and custom car owners are invited to the Orchards Cars and Coffee meetup from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

This event takes place in the southeast parking lot of Vancouver Mall, and participants are reminded that burning rubber or loud music isn’t permitted on site or on adjacent streets.

On June 14, Touchmark at Fairway Village will host a Car Show and Music Festival from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

This vibrant event will feature approximately 100 unique cars coupled with live performances from local bands across two stages.

It’s free for spectators to attend, and although there is no registration fee for participants, donations will be appreciated. Find out more on their Facebook event page.

Later that same day, Orchards Cars and Coffee will present the Clark County Father’s Day Auto Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Vancouver Mall’s north parking lot.

Spectators can attend for free and registered vehicles will cost $10, with guests encouraged to bring donations of non-perishable food items for local nonprofits.

Alderbrook Park will also host the British Invasion Show and Shine car show on June 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., coinciding with Father’s Day.

General admission costs $8, with vehicle registration for British-made cars and bikes priced at $10.

No animals or outside beverages will be allowed at this event, and early car registration will take place from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Throughout the summer, the Felida Cars and Coffee meetup will take place every second and fourth Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. from June through September at Creed Coffee.

Another recurring event, Fisher’s Landing Cars and Coffee, runs on the first and third Sundays of each month from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Attendees can grab coffee at Black Rock Coffee before heading to the parking lot located between Big Al’s and Kiddie Academy.

On June 21, during the 103rd annual Woodland Planters Days, the Columbia River Camaro Club will present a cruise-in car show from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Vehicles will line up on Heritage Street starting at 6 p.m., followed by a cruise through downtown Woodland from 7 p.m.

Donations are welcome but not mandatory for vehicle registration.

The Planters Days Annual Car Show is set for June 22, with vehicle registration available for $20 that day.

Additionally, the Camas Car Show will take place on June 28 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in downtown Camas, with free admission for those coming to watch.

The first 100 cars registered will receive goodie bags and dash plaques for the first 250 cars.

Mark your calendars for the Amboy Territorial Days Celebration, taking place from July 11-13 at Amboy Territorial Park, which kicks off with a car show on July 11 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Registration starts at 4:30 p.m. for a $10 entry fee, and awards will be presented at 6:30 p.m.

The much-awaited Cruise the Couve returns on July 19, with Trap Door Brewing hosting this permitted event for cruising along Main Street from noon until 10 p.m.

Classic cars are particularly encouraged, and there is no registration fee involved.

Local police will be on site after 2 p.m., and seats on the sidewalks will be available for spectators.

Local businesses, restaurants, and taprooms will be open, with ample parking available above Mill Plain.

Finally, July 25-26 sees the La Center Our Days Celebration, featuring a car show and vendor market scheduled for July 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On August 2, the King’s Kruz-In event at Glenwood Community Church runs from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with car registration from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. costing $20.

The first 350 entrants will receive a complimentary barbecue lunch alongside a dash plaque, while attendance for spectators is free but nonperishable food donations are encouraged for FISH of Vancouver.
