Exciting Weekend Activities in Houston: Food, Drink, and Fun Await

This weekend in Houston offers a diverse array of food and drink events, alongside exciting activities for locals to enjoy and support the community.

Kicking off the weekend is the Empty Bowls Summer Pop-Up at Saint Arnold Brewery.

Held on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., this event aims to raise funds for the Houston Food Bank.

Attendees can purchase handmade bowls created by local artists, with prices set at $10 and $25.

All proceeds from the bowl sales will contribute to the ongoing effort to feed hungry residents in the area.

Visitors can also expect live pottery demonstrations and relaxation in the brewery’s beer garden.

Here, patrons can further support the cause as menu purchases will be rounded up for donations.

Another highlight of the weekend is the Red, White & Brut Bastille Day Bash at Brasserie 19, which happens on Saturday from noon until 3 p.m.

This vibrant celebration features partnerships with Veuve Clicquot and Moët Hennessy, presenting an afternoon filled with Champagne, rosé, and specialty cocktails.

Food lovers can indulge in French-inspired bites and revel in the dance-worthy French discothèque sounds that will fill the venue.

Festivities also include raffles and photo opportunities to capture the fun of the day.

Food trucks and games take center stage at the Heights2k Summer Bash, located at Heights Bier Garten.

Scheduled for Saturday, the event’s doors will open at 11 a.m., culminating in a lively bash starting at 3 p.m.

Expect thrilling NBA Jam arcade battles, best-dressed contests, live DJs, and a vibrant atmosphere typical of one of Houston’s favorite outdoor venues.

As Saturday continues, the Pre-713 Day Bash at Eureka Heights Brew Co promises an electrifying blend of craft beer and pro wrestling.

Opening at noon and running until 5 p.m., the event will feature DJ sets and exclusive 713-themed merchandise.

At 5 p.m., the venue will be transformed as a wrestling ring is set up for an evening filled with spectacular wrestling matches starting at 7 p.m.

Guests can enjoy food from Comalito HTX, as authentic Mexican cuisine pairs deliciously with a cold beer.

Finally, on Sunday, 713 FEST at Bayou Heights Biergarten culminates the weekend from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.

As a tribute to Houston’s culture and roots, the event will include energetic DJ performances, local vendors, and themed cocktails like the Sittin’ Sideways.

In a commendable effort to support the community, proceeds from the sale of the Eureka Heights Buckle Bunny beer will be donated to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund, promising aid to those affected by recent devastations in the Hill Country.

This weekend promises not only enjoyment but an opportunity for Houstonians to come together in support of great causes while indulging in memorable experiences.
