Bonfire Burritos Brings Breakfast Passion to Olde Town Arvada

Bonfire Burritos has officially launched its second location in Olde Town Arvada, much to the delight of local residents, who have flocked to the new eatery since its opening on May 16. Located at 5800 Olde Wadsworth Blvd., the Golden-based burrito company has quickly gained popularity, with lines stretching out the door almost daily.

This new branch marks a significant milestone for Bonfire Burritos, expanding from its humble beginnings in a yellow trailer in Golden to a thriving brick-and-mortar establishment. With plans for further expansion into Wheat Ridge, the buzz surrounding Bonfire Burritos is only set to grow.

Sky Schnautz, one of the co-founders of Bonfire Burritos, shared insights into the decision to open in Arvada. He expressed the company’s admiration for the area’s vibrant community and local restaurant scene.

“We’ve always loved the energy of Olde Town Arvada; it’s a vibrant area with a strong sense of community and a fantastic lineup of local restaurants,” Schnautz remarked. “It felt like a natural fit for Bonfire. A lot of our company values align with what makes this community special.”

Transforming the old Arby’s building into Bonfire Burritos’ new location was no small task. According to Schnautz, the team undertook a complete renovation, completely gutting the interior to create a space that reflects the brand’s lively spirit.

“During demo, we uncovered some pleasant surprises, like a hidden dome ceiling with 50+ can lights and a gorgeous granite rock wall that had been covered since the ‘80s,” Schnautz recalled. The renovation also included the creation of a family-friendly patio area featuring astroturf and exciting patio games, enhancing the overall dining experience.

When it comes to menu offerings, the Arvada location is focused specifically on breakfast, capitalizing on Bonfire’s reputation for delicious morning meals. Alongside the breakfast burritos, the new spot has introduced an expanded coffee menu that includes five specialty drinks, lattes, cappuccinos, and Americanos, thanks to a new 3-group espresso machine.

“If you love breakfast, this is the place to be,” Schnautz said, hinting at plans to incorporate the new coffee offerings in the Golden location soon.

The local reception has been overwhelmingly positive. Schnautz highlighted the enthusiastic turnout at a community day event held prior to the opening, with many residents excited about this new addition to the area.

“The turnout blew us away—we almost had a line wrapping all the way around the building,” he described. The outpouring of support has made the hard work of opening this new location feel truly rewarding.

With the grand opening now in the rearview mirror, Schnautz expressed his gratitude for the community’s warm welcome. “We’re feeling the love and are so grateful to be here,” he said.

As Bonfire Burritos settles into its new home, Schnautz encouraged locals to stop by, whether for a quick breakfast burrito or to enjoy a coffee on the patio.

“This is one of the biggest projects we’ve taken on in our 11 years of business, and we poured a ton of heart into it,” he stated. Bonfire Burritos aims to provide not just meals but a sense of community, where patrons can appreciate the effort and passion that has gone into creating the space.
