Villa Miami, one of Miami’s most anticipated residential towers, has marked a significant milestone with the completion of its concrete foundation pour on May 9. Moss Construction successfully led the expansive pour, which lasted 14 hours and involved over 3,400 cubic yards of concrete and 2,095 tons of steel. This monumental achievement contributes to the foundation of the 650-foot waterfront landmark located in the Edgewater neighborhood of Miami, which is on track for delivery in 2027. Remarkably, the concrete pour was completed four weeks ahead of schedule, showcasing the swift progress of the tower’s construction.
David Martin, CEO of Terra, emphasized the strength of the luxury market, noting, “The strength of today’s luxury market is defined by discernment as buyers are seeking more than just a home.” He elaborated that the pace of progress at Villa Miami underscores the demand for a distinctive residential offering and reflects the robust fundamentals of Miami’s real estate market. “This milestone marks the beginning of a tower that will reshape the Edgewater skyline and redefine luxury living in Miami,” he added.
Villa Miami will feature a striking copper-clad, 56-story design that introduces a limited collection of just 70 half- and full-floor residences. These residences are set to provide a luxurious living experience, characterized by exceptional service, exquisite design, and culinary excellence. Notably, Villa Miami is the inaugural residential tower branded by the Major Food Group, marking a collaboration between the legacy developer David Martin’s Terra and One Thousand Group.
Kevin Venger, Co-Founder of One Thousand Group, commented, “This concrete pour marks the moment Villa Miami shifts from vision to vertical reality.” He expressed pride in building a legacy with a dedicated team that is pushing the boundaries of design and raising standards in construction.
To achieve this foundation pour, a fleet of 43 concrete trucks was utilized, operating in a meticulously coordinated rotation throughout the day. The structural work for the tower is being executed by Moss Construction, while architectural design is led by ODP Architects, guided by Kurt Dannwolf. The visually arresting copper-colored exoskeleton of Villa Miami is an architectural feature designed by ODP and engineered by DeSimone, a global structural design firm.
Located at 710 NE 29th Street, Villa Miami broke ground in December 2024 and secured a substantial $285 million construction loan from TYKO Capital, a commercial real estate private equity and credit platform backed by Elliott Investment Management.
Despite ongoing construction, Villa Miami has already generated significant buyer interest. Residences begin at $5.5 million and range from 3,000 to over 6,000 square feet, appealing to discerning buyers in search of estate-style residences in the sky with comprehensive service and programming.
The interiors of Villa Miami are envisioned by Vicky Charles of Charles & Co., while landscaping will be handled by Enzo Enea. An exclusive private amenity suite, named the Copper Club, will span multiple floors and is curated by Major Food Group to provide a members-only experience.
The development team behind Villa Miami has a track record of delivering some of Miami’s most iconic residential towers. Terra, led by David Martin, recently completed Five Park Miami Beach and Mr. C Residences Coconut Grove. Meanwhile, One Thousand Group’s portfolio includes the striking Zaha Hadid-designed One Thousand Museum tower, alongside their recent acquisition of a nearby Edgewater site for an upcoming project designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox.
