US Men’s National Team (USMNT) head coach Mauricio Pochettino has announced a robust 27-player training camp roster as the team gears up for two significant international friendlies against Turkey and Switzerland this June.
The training camp kicks off on June 1 in Chicago, serving as a key preparation opportunity ahead of the upcoming World Cup festivities and the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup.
In anticipation of these pivotal matches, Pochettino emphasized the importance of maximizing this time together as a team, stating, “As we continue preparations for the World Cup, this is a fantastic opportunity to work with this group of players for an extended period and it’s important we take advantage of every moment we have together.”
He added, “Of course, we want to win and to perform in a very good way. These players have earned the chance to compete for our fans and to show their quality and mentality.”
The USMNT will face Turkey on June 7 at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Connecticut. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET, with extensive television coverage on TNT, truTV, and Telemundo Deportes, in addition to streaming options on Max, Universo, and Peacock.
Just three days later, the team will take on Switzerland on June 10 at GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tennessee. This match, presented by Coca-Cola, will kick off at 8:00 p.m. ET (7:00 p.m. local) and will also be broadcast across multiple platforms, including TNT, truTV, Max, Universo, and Peacock.
For the first time, USMNT matches will feature live English language commentary provided by Westwood One Sports, while longtime partner Fútbol de Primera will offer the Spanish language broadcast.

The detailed roster includes four goalkeepers: Matt Freese of New York City FC, Patrick Schulte from Columbus Crew, Zack Steffen of the Colorado Rapids, and Matt Turner from Crystal Palace in England.
In defense, the USMNT brings together players such as Max Arfsten, Sergiño Dest, Alex Freeman, DeJuan Jones, Mark McKenzie, Tim Ream, Chris Richards, and Miles Robinson.
The midfield lineup features a talented group comprised of Brenden Aaronson, Tyler Adams, Sebastian Berhalter, Johnny Cardoso, Luca de la Torre, Diego Luna, Jack McGlynn, Quinn Sullivan, Malik Tillman, and Sean Zawadzki.
Completing the squad, the forwards include Patrick Agyemang, Folarin Balogun, Damion Downs, Brian White, and Haji Wright.
Several players are celebrating recent accomplishments that elevate their profiles ahead of the friendlies.
Chris Richards and Matt Turner joined the ranks of USMNT legends with their recent FA Cup victory with Crystal Palace, who triumphed over Manchester City in a thrilling final at Wembley Stadium.
Meanwhile, Malik Tillman and Sergiño Dest contributed to PSV Eindhoven’s success, securing their spot as Dutch league champions for the second consecutive time.
Brenden Aaronson made headlines with his exceptional performance for Leeds United, spearheading their success in the English League Championship and securing a return to the Premier League.
Up-and-coming 20-year-old striker Damion Downs shared the spotlight with a prolific season in Germany, where he tied for his team’s leading scorer as FC Köln clinched the top spot and promotion to the Bundesliga.
The USMNT roster is packed with scoring power, showcasing players who have made significant contributions to their clubs recently.
Brian White from the Vancouver Whitecaps has been a standout in MLS, currently tied for third in the Golden Boot race with eight goals in ten matches. He is closely followed by Diego Luna, who has netted seven goals in just 13 matches this season.
Veteran forward Brenden Aaronson provided nine goals and two assists across his 46 appearances, while Damion Downs made an impressive impact with ten goals in 29 matches.
Haji Wright also made headlines in England, finishing with 12 goals in 29 appearances for Coventry City as they narrowly missed out on Premier League promotion.
Furthermore, Malik Tillman’s scoring prowess saw him contribute 12 vital goals for PSV, including a match-winning goal on the final day of the season that helped secure the championship title.
First-time call-up Quinn Sullivan has been making waves, with seven assists in 14 matches for the Philadelphia Union, ranking him among the league leaders.
As the roster exhibits a blend of seasoned players and emerging talents, it also sees the return of familiar faces.
After a lengthy recovery from a ruptured ACL, Sergiño Dest rejoins the squad for the first time since the USA’s Concacaf Nations League title win in March 2024.
Additionally, forward Folarin Balogun marks his resurgence into the fold following an injury that kept him sidelined since September 2024. Balogun previously scored his initial goal for the USMNT in a match against Canada during the 2023 Concacaf Nations League final.
The roster includes exciting new talents, featuring five young prospects who have received their first national team call-ups, including defenders Alex Freeman and Quinn Sullivan, midfielder Sebastian Berhalter, and striker Damion Downs.
Freeman, the son of former Green Bay Packers legend Antonio Freeman, has caught the attention of fans, while Sebastian Berhalter has been an instrumental player for the Vancouver Whitecaps this season.
Meanwhile, Damion Downs, who holds dual nationality in the US and Germany, has showcased his skills after transitioning from youth football in Texas to a professional career in Germany.
As previously noted, Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field holds a special significance for Patrick Agyemang, who recalls attending his first USMNT game there as a child.
It symbolizes his journey from youth soccer to the professional ranks, emphasizing this momentous occasion as an opportunity to give back to the community that nurtured his talent.
In other news, U.S. Soccer confirmed updates regarding Christian Pulisic, who has chosen to sit out this summer’s friendlies. Sporting Director Matt Crocker stated, “Christian and his team approached the Federation and the coaching staff about the possibility of stepping back this summer, given the amount of matches he has played in the past two years at both the club and international level with very little break.”
This decision was reached after careful consideration, aiming to allow Pulisic sufficient rest to return fully prepared for the next competitive season.
As the USMNT sets its sights on these upcoming matches, there is plenty of excitement surrounding the squad. With high enthusiasm and anticipation, fans look forward to witnessing how this dynamic group comes together on the field.
