MomoCon Expands Its Reach as One of the Southeast’s Largest Fan Conventions

MomoCon, one of the premier fan conventions in the Southeast, has experienced significant growth since its humble beginnings at Georgia Tech, where it attracted just 700 attendees during its inaugural year.

Since relocating to the Congress Center in 2015, MomoCon’s attendance has grown exponentially, now drawing fans from across the United States and even from countries such as Sweden, Vietnam, and Liechtenstein.

Chris Stuckey, MomoCon’s co-chairman, notes that the convention’s occupancy has increased from a small segment of Hall A to now encompassing all of Halls A and B.

This expansion highlights the festival’s commitment to providing more space for exhibitors and gaming activities, accommodating its rapidly-growing audience.

At its new venue, the gaming section—which features esports stages, console tournaments, and tabletop gaming—will be relocated to Hall A, allowing exhibitors to take over the entirety of Hall B beginning next year.
