Several exciting new brunch options have recently debuted in the Dallas area, providing a wide range of culinary delights for weekend diners.
One standout is an Asian restaurant at The Terminal at Katy Trail, which has launched brunch service from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
Their menu features a variety of small plates such as brioche toast with ricotta and mascarpone, avocado toast, and chia seed pudding.
During a recent visit to their charming outdoor patio, we indulged in several main dishes like the Japanese souffle pancakes, French omelet, and fried chicken & waffle.
All dishes were stellar, but the chicken & waffle is a must-try, with the crispy chicken expertly cooked and topped with a hot honey chili sauce and Chinese pickles that leave you wanting more.
Additionally, the airy souffle pancakes are slathered in a light and delightful matcha tea sabayon, while the French omelet features French Boursin cheese that is downright addictive.
Looking ahead, I have my eye on their crab Benedict for my next visit.
In another exciting development, a new seafood restaurant from Catch Hospitality Group at Dallas’ Maple Terrace has introduced its Sunday Brunch Experience.
For $75 per person, this extravagant brunch is available every Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm.
The main attraction is a 10-foot sushi boat filled with an assortment of oysters, ceviche, nigiri, and rolls.
Guests can also enjoy tableside caviar service, featuring Ossetra caviar atop a house-made chip with fried capers, shallots, egg white, and egg yolk crème fraîche.
Breakfast classics like crispy chicken & waffles with hot honey and gochujang, as well as chilaquiles, are part of the menu, alongside a robata grill offering various proteins, truffle mushroom spaghetti, and a greens station.
There’s also a cocktail menu with options like mimosas and Bloody Marys, but the Toasted Almond Coffee comes highly recommended.
Diners can also venture to the dessert station, where they’ll find some of the tiniest, cutest macarons one could imagine.
I couldn’t resist swiping a few into a to-go baggie to enjoy later at home.
Additionally, a modern bistro from Chef Peja Krstic is now hosting Sunday brunch from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm.
The brunch menu boasts savory breakfast dishes such as steak & eggs, a brunch burger, shrimp & grits, a honey butter chicken biscuit, and brisket hash.
Sweet options include chocolate milk French toast, ricotta soufflé pancakes, and the inventive Cereal Bowl with homemade cornflakes, strawberries, bananas, almond butter, strawberry milk crunch, and a choice of regular or chocolate milk.
Some favorite dinner items like fried chicken, grilled leeks, and tuna niçoise have also made it onto the brunch menu.
Opened in 2024 on Henderson Avenue, a new all-day American bistro has also stepped into the brunch scene with weekend service on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 4 pm.
Diners can enjoy highlights like cinnamon roll pancakes, a Breakfast Benedict featuring crab cake, smoked salmon, or bacon, French toast bites, chilaquiles, and more.
Another standout from this exciting new brunch menu is the Cereal Bowl, which allows diners to choose from nostalgic favorites like Trix, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Honey Nut Cheerios, Fruity Pebbles, or even Teddy Grahams.
These new brunch offerings across Dallas promise a delightful weekend dining experience for food lovers.
