Wyoming Man Faces Multiple Charges in Alleged Water Park Sexual Assault

A man from Wyoming is facing serious legal repercussions following an alleged sexual assault incident that took place at Pirates Cove Water Park in Englewood on July 7.

Eighteen-year-old Trenton Moskovita has been charged with six felonies related to the incident, prompting a response from local police after a report of a sexual assault at the water park.

According to an affidavit obtained by the Englewood Herald, police found Moskovita in the men’s locker room when they arrived at the scene.

Initial attempts to detain him were met with resistance. Moskovita claimed he was with his siblings and later refused to provide his name, though he eventually complied when handcuffed by officers.

In his explanation to the police, Moskovita stated that a young girl had sought his assistance in finding the bathroom, which led them to enter the family restroom together.

He claimed he turned away so the girl could use the toilet, after which she screamed and he realized he should not have been in the bathroom with her.

An employee from Pirates Cove reported to police that the girl and her mother had lodged a complaint regarding the assault.

The mother recounted that her daughter described a man who had pulled her into the bathroom, forcibly pulled down his pants, and covered her mouth.

As the investigation progressed, it was noted that Moskovita was hastily packing his belongings and assisting his siblings with changing clothes as law enforcement arrived at the scene.

Video footage reviewed by police corroborated the mother’s account, showing Moskovita leading the girl into the bathroom, where they remained for approximately nine minutes.

The recording captured Moskovita motioning for the child to approach him in a nearby shower area before guiding her by the hand into the restroom.

The girl could be seen exiting the bathroom in visible distress, followed by Moskovita shortly thereafter.

According to the victim’s testimony during a police interview, she recounted being asked by Moskovita to perform a favor inside the bathroom.

Once inside, she became frightened, began to scream, and was silenced when Moskovita covered her mouth.

The affidavit details that the girl was assaulted, with Moskovita allegedly pulling down both their pants and touching her inappropriately, leading her to express that it felt uncomfortable and hurt.

She reported witnessing Moskovita’s genitals during the assault and shut her eyes in an attempt to escape the situation, feeling trapped by his grip as he blocked her exit.

After the incident, Moskovita allegedly warned the girl against telling anyone, claiming he had previously engaged in similar actions and wanted to continue.

The girl managed to flee the bathroom and immediately informed her mother about the incident.

During his police interview later that day, Moskovita appeared visibly frightened and expressed confusion regarding the reason for the allegations against him for merely helping the girl.

He requested to speak with a lawyer and opted not to make any formal statement.

Moskovita is currently held in the Arapahoe County Jail, with bail set at $200,000 cash or surety bond.

He faces six felony charges, including kidnapping with a sexual offense, enticement of a child resulting in bodily injury, aggravated sexual assault on a child, coercive sexual contact with a child, violent crime classified as a sex offense, and aggravated sex offense.

A preliminary hearing for the case is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on August 11 at the Arapahoe County Justice Center.

It is important to note that under the law, Moskovita is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

All allegations and descriptions contained within the affidavit remain unproven at this time.
